Brian is a part-time instructor at Michigan State University‘s College of Music in Lansing, Michigan where he focuses on music business related topics. He teaches “Marketing and Promotions in Music” for graduate level students and mentors students working to develop comprehensive music business plans. He also enjoys doing featured lectures on topics like music licensing and sound design practices. His goal is to not only introduce future creative professionals to the entrepreneurial mindset, but to help them develop real-world skills that will set them apart in the competitive world of music.

Brian has enjoyed speaking at various high schools, colleges, career events, libraries and club on topics related to careers in music, the music business, and professional creativity, including Michigan State University in Lansing, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and Hope College in Holland, MI.
Roth Academy of music, LLC – Owner
The Roth Academy is a full service community music school just outside of Lansing, Michigan that offers private lessons with over a dozen highly skilled instructors in multiple instruments including guitar, piano, voice, percussion, violin, woodwinds and brass. Along with one-on-one lessons the The Roth Academy also offers a variety of classes including theory, composition, musical theater, and early childhood music. The Academy has provided quality instruction to hundreds of families since it opened in 2015!
